Planning a stunning Stone Haven wedding gives you so much to work with before you even start thinking about the smaller details. Between the European-inspired architecture, outdoor ceremony space, views, and that glass-filled reception area, the venue already has a really distinct look. The biggest thing I’d tell couples getting married here is that you don’t need to do everything to make the space feel special. A little intention with your timeline, design. And how you use each part of the property can go a long way.

Let the Venue Do Some of the Work
One of my favorite things about Stone Haven is how many different textures and backdrops are already built into the property. You have the white exterior, stone details, tall greenery, balconies, staircases, those huge wooden doors, and the glass reception space. Because there’s already so much visual interest, you can keep your design relatively simple without the wedding feeling unfinished.
The ceremony setup in this wedding is such a good example. Instead of covering the space in florals, they used low, organic arrangements along the aisle and kept the ceremony backdrop simple so the view could actually be part of it. If you’re deciding where to spend your floral and decor budget. Think about which areas genuinely need something added and which ones are already doing plenty on their own.

Plan Your Stone Haven Wedding Timeline Around the Light
This is one of those things that might not be at the top of your planning list. But it makes a big difference in your photos. Stone Haven has a lot of open outdoor spaces. Which means the light can be pretty direct earlier in the day. There are also some really fun opportunities to use the shadows from the trees and architecture instead of trying to avoid them completely.
I’d build enough portrait time into your timeline that we aren’t limited to one spot at one exact time. The stairs, wooden doors, balconies, greenery. And exterior of the venue can all photograph completely differently depending on where the sun is. Having some flexibility gives us the chance to move around and use whatever light looks best instead of rushing through all of your portraits at once.

Choose Details That Feel Like You
A beautiful venue doesn’t mean your wedding has to look like every other wedding held there. Your tables, florals, stationery, ceremony design, and smaller details are where you can bring more of yourselves into the space. I love how the reception design here brought in soft greens, striped linens, warm-toned glassware, simple table lamps, and florals without competing with the room itself. The glass walls and chandeliers already make a statement, so the tables could feel interesting without being overdone. When you’re planning your own Stone Haven wedding. Start with what you genuinely like rather than trying to match a certain idea of what a wedding at the venue is supposed to look like.

Make Time to Actually Enjoy Your Wedding
This is probably the planning tip I will repeat forever: your wedding day shouldn’t feel like one long photoshoot. Stone Haven gives us plenty of variety without needing to leave the property, so we can be intentional about when and where we take photos instead of constantly pulling you away from your guests.
A good timeline can spread portraits throughout the day and leave room for the moments you didn’t plan. Maybe we do some portraits around the property earlier, sneak away for another 10–15 minutes when the light changes, and then let you get right back to your people. You should have beautiful photos from Stone Haven, obviously, but you should also remember what it felt like to actually be there.
