Last month I got a chance to shoot this amazing laid back backyard wedding. It was an intimate one with less than 50 people at the bride’s parents hours. There ceremony was so beautiful over looking the lake and had a white tent reception. At the end of the ceremony during their procession, the bride and groom as well as the whole bridal party walked up the aisle in slow motion and when they got to the end they held their place for a whole of 10 minutes, it was so awesome and hilarious. The bride & groom as well as most of their friends are all theater people and so the slow mo definitely added a certain drama to it.
The bridesmaid and groomsmen speeches were some of the funniest I had ever heard and one of the bridesmaid said something that I will never forget. She met the bride through her husband’s best friends who she considered her brothers as well and she said, “It’s always the brothers who bring the sisters” and it was amazing and got me thinking about not my friends but about my brother who has an amazing girlfriend and sweet as a sugarcane! At the end of the reception, the cake was set outside in the dark and so all the guests turned on their phone flash lights so we could have some light to take cake cutting photos. Everything was so beautiful!! Check em out here and notice her socks..
