Erin and Rob’s New Orleans wedding at Marigny Opera House was so beautiful! Rob and Erin are such a sweet couple. Their college love story is one I loved getting to hear! They two met 10 years ago when Erin’s friends invited her over to a house party to meet their new roommate, who just so happened to be Rob. Erin instantly liked him, but they didn’t end up together until a year later. Erin moved to Chicago shortly after their first encounter for a six-month school program. Now Erin and Rob live together in Chicago with their cat and dog, and planned a stunning destination wedding in New Orleans! Capturing their New Orleans wedding pictures and being a part of their special day was such an honor.

The vision for Erin and Rob’s wedding was eclectic – a mix of Old World meets modern. Erin said “A little bit Italian villa, English Garden Party, with some Wes Anderson flair.“- so that’s exactly how it went. And let me tell you, it was stunning. They wanted their guests to feel like they were walking into an old magical abandoned church when they entered the venue for the first time. One that has been slightly overtaken with flowers and plants growing up from the ground with cracks and crevices wrapping around the columns. They wanted their venue to feel magical because their love felt magical to them. And of course, New Orleans is full of so much history and beautiful architecture, and Marigny Opera House was the perfect location!
Erin and Rob’s wedding was nothing short of magical. The ceremony ended with a traditional second-line parade and the end of the parade was routed to cocktail hour in the garden where they had a band playing. The reception was so vibrant and fun! Everyone was full of such good energy in celebration of Erin and Rob!
