There’s something about a Jekyll Island engagement session that just feels cinematic, the kind of dreamy, salt-air magic you can’t stage anywhere else. Andrea and Rusty brought that vision to life with their adventurous session that mixed Spanish moss, sandy shores, and a bold twist: horseback riding on the beach. Every frame was romantic yet playful, giving their love story the perfect mix of coastal charm and untamed energy!

Strolling Under the Spanish Moss

We started the afternoon tucked beneath Jekyll Island’s most iconic view, the grand oaks dripping in Spanish moss. The trees arch over the quiet road, creating a tunnel that feels almost otherworldly, like you’re stepping into a southern fairytale. Andrea and Rusty walked hand in hand, letting the day slow down as they wandered under the green canopy. She looked timeless in her all-white outfit, flowing and chic, while Rusty’s classic style made the perfect complement. What I loved most was how natural they were together. No forced smiles, no stiff poses, just little in-between moments of laughter, glances over the shoulder, and that effortless closeness that only comes with true comfort in each other’s presence.

And then the real adventure began. Andrea and Rusty hopped onto horseback and took to the shoreline, because if you’re going to plan a Jekyll Island engagement session, why not make it unforgettable? The horses trotted across the wet sand, their hooves leaving trails alongside the ocean’s edge. Andrea’s hair whipped in the wind, Rusty’s smile widened with every stride, and suddenly it felt like we were on the set of a romance film. There’s something about mixing the calm of the ocean with the untamed spirit of riding that just makes photos come alive. Every shot captured movement, freedom, and joy, from Andrea’s fearless grin as she leaned into her ride to the playful side-by-side moments where Rusty looked over at her like he couldn’t believe this was real life.
