There’s something so magical about a Flint Hill Wedding, especially when it blends timeless Southern beauty with modern, personality-packed details the way Maria and Adam’s day did. These two put their whole hearts into creating a celebration that felt like them, a beautifully intentional Mexican fusion wedding filled with family, culture, fun trends, and a whole lot of joy. I photographed their engagement session earlier this year at Hills & Dales Estate, so walking into their wedding day already knowing their sweet dynamic made everything feel extra special. From brown bridesmaid dresses to a light-up crown reception entrance, this day had the perfect mix of elegance and fun!

Getting Ready & Pre-Ceremony Moments at Flint Hill
The morning at Flint Hill was slow, warm, and full of anticipation. The historic rooms inside the house were the perfect backdrop for Maria’s bridal details, her vow books, her perfume, her textured lace gown hanging so beautifully in the soft window light. She spent the morning surrounded by her girls, all dressed in rich chocolate brown (one of my favorite current trends), and their reactions during her reveal were priceless. Just outside the house, Adam and his groomsmen brought all the energy, laughing, walking the lawn, teasing each other, and making the kind of candid moments that tell the real story of wedding mornings. One of my favorite parts of Flint Hill is how effortlessly the indoor elegance flows into the outdoor greenery, creating the perfect atmosphere to begin a wedding day!

First Look & Romantic Portraits in the Garden
Maria and Adam’s first look took place right on Flint Hill’s iconic front porch, a picture-perfect backdrop of white columns, black shutters, and that classic brick. The second Adam turned around, you could feel the shift. Their smiles were instant, their energy soft and emotional, and it set such a beautiful tone for the rest of the day. Afterward, we wandered through the gardens for portraits surrounded by blooming pink florals and that dreamy afternoon light peeking through the trees. Having photographed their engagement session beforehand, their comfort level in front of the camera made everything feel natural, every touch, laugh, and quiet moment in between.

A Heartfelt Ceremony With a Cultural Touch
Their ceremony took place beneath Flint Hill’s draped arbor, white fabric flowing in the breeze, blooms overhead, and that soft golden light filtering through the trees. Maria and Adam exchanged vows surrounded by their closest people, and the entire moment felt intimate and rooted in meaning. One of my favorite touches was their ceremony exit. Instead of traditional petals or bubbles, guests waved white ribbon wands, a fun, lively nod to their Mexican fusion celebration and the perfect way to kick off the party ahead!

Reception: The Dress Change, the Crown Re-Entry & the Taco Station
If their ceremony was all about emotion, their reception was all about pure, joyful energy. Maria re-entered the reception wearing the chicest off-the-shoulder mini dress paired with a glowing, light-up crown, and the crowd went wild. It was such a fun, trendy moment that instantly set the tone for the dance floor. Guests danced with foam sticks, laughed together, and celebrated late into the night. And because every great party needs a great late-night snack… enter: the taco station. Such a perfect nod to their fusion celebration and an instant hit with everyone.
