The pandemic has put a giant strain on stressful wedding planning and made it even more stressful. A lot of businesses are closed and with couple’s being unable to go out, the planning have come to a halt. But we are so lucky to be alive in this digital age where you can literally plan every aspect of your wedding from the couch. Here are some tips on how virtually plan your big day without actually being there in person and even live stream it.
1. Virtual Venue Tours
A lot of venues have 360 degree virtual tour videos on their website where you can view different spaces in a panoramic view. But with the pandemic looming on our heads, venues are now also offering virtual walking tours via Skype or FaceTime. You can virtually walk through while the venue’s on site coordinator shows you the event space and you can get all your questions answered in real time. Since this will be on your phone, you can even record things on your device and take photos of the venue for future reference.
2. Virtual Vendor Choosing and consultations
Stalk your vendors online. Everyone has their work on their websites as well as social media. This is a great time to narrow down some of your favs and set up virtual chats to e-meet them face to face. This way you can get to know them and see if they are a perfect fit for you. You can even plan other aspects of your wedding via a virtual session with your planner and plan your wedding day timeline as well.
3. Invites
Sending out invites and RSVPs is so easy these days with websites like Zola All you have to do is create your custom wedding website and you can send links to all of your friends and family to gather their info that way you’ll easily be able to get their addresses when those paper invites go out + when you send those thank you cards.
4. At Home Cake Tasting
There are some cake vendors that will even send you samples to taste via mail for you to do your cake tasting at home so that you don’t have to go anywhere. This way at least you get to have some delicious cakes while you are stuck at home.

5. At home dress trials
Inquire with dress shops in your area if they are offering dress at home trials. You can FaceTime the shop and pick dresses, they will then ship them to you, you try them on, keep the one you want to buy and send the others back to the shop.

6. Virtual Pre-wedding events
If you need to postpone your in-person wedding due to coronavirus but still want some quality time with your friends & family, host a virtual pre-wedding party such as a bridal shower or a bachelor/bachelorette party happy hour over live stream!
Pro Tip: In lieu of gifts, you can always ask your guests to share their favorite recipe, memory of the couple, or tip for a wonderful marriage. It will be fun, interactive, and FREE for all! A lot of registries also offer shipping of the gifts at home.
