There’s something extra magical about a summer wedding in Georgia, and Pinak & Prajakta’s day at Primrose Cottage was no exception! From the moment guests stepped onto the property, it felt like stepping into an elegant garden party wrapped in love, warmth, and centuries-old tradition. This wasn’t your typical multi-day Indian wedding. Instead, it was a heartfelt, intentionally shortened celebration filled with color, culture, and joy, a Primrose Cottage summer wedding that honored tradition while making space for ease, intimacy, and unforgettable moments!

A Classic Georgia Venue Meets Indian Wedding Elegance
Primrose Cottage in Roswell, GA was the perfect setting, with its white-columned Southern architecture, lush gardens, and timeless beauty. The historic home created an inviting atmosphere that beautifully complemented the vibrant red and gold tones of Prajakta’s saree and the soft ivory of Pinak’s sherwani. Family and friends flew in from across the country. And even India to witness this celebration, creating an energy that felt deeply personal! The couple planned everything in under six months, but you’d never know it by the details. A vintage gold mirror welcomed guests at the front steps, florals lined the ceremony altar like a blooming canopy. And the decor was filled with thoughtful touches, from the engraved guestbook, leaf display to soft candlelit centerpieces that glowed into the evening.

Getting Ready Moments with Generations of Love
The getting ready space inside Primrose Cottage was filled with laughter, quiet moments of reflection, and beautiful saris in every shade of red and gold. Prajakta was surrounded by the women closest to her. Her mother, sisters, and friends as they helped her drape her sari and fasten her jewelry. Her bridal look was traditional and elegant, complete with gold bangles, temple jewelry, and henna-adorned hands. Meanwhile, Pinak was preparing with his father and groomsmen, his anticipation building steadily. You could feel the calm confidence in him, the kind that comes from knowing you’ve found your person!

A Shortened Hindu Ceremony Under the Summer Trees
One of the most beautiful things about this day was the way Pinak & Prajakta personalized their Hindu ceremony. Typically, Hindu weddings can span several hours or even days. But this one was lovingly condensed into a modified version that still honored essential rituals and blessings. All beneath an ethereal floral altar strung with jasmine garlands. From exchanging garlands to walking the sacred steps around the fire, every moment felt sacred and intentional. Family surrounded them on all sides, both physically and emotionally, sharing blessings, performing rituals, and wiping away happy tears. It was peaceful, meaningful, and beautifully rooted in culture!

Portraits in the Garden After the Ceremony
After the ceremony, Pinak & Prajakta took a quiet moment together to soak it all in. Just the two of them, walking hand in hand through the gardens behind the house. These portraits are some of our favorites. The rich tones of their outfits against the greenery, the soft laughter between them, the kind of closeness that only comes from years of knowing each other. (They met back in college, so this day was long in the making.) The energy between them was gentle and sweet, full of connection and deep familiarity.

An Outfit Change and Modern Indian Reception Vibes
As the sun began to dip lower in the sky, the couple changed into their evening looks, still Indian, but with a modern twist. Prajakta wore a stunning cream and gold lehenga with delicate embroidery, and Pinak opted for a classic black suit with a tie. They re-entered the reception hand in hand, beaming, greeted by applause and so many proud smiles. The reception was an intimate dinner party-style gathering with under 100 guests, which made everything feel extra personal. Tables were dressed in soft linens, adorned with floating candles and delicate florals. Instead of a full bar, the couple offered a mocktail bar featuring creative and refreshing non-alcoholic drinks, a beautiful nod to intentional hospitality that felt so true to them!

Golden Hour Garden Portraits to End the Night
Before the sun set completely, we snuck out for one last round of portraits under twinkling lights in the garden. It was quiet, romantic, and cinematic, like the closing scene of a love story where you just know the best is yet to come! There’s something about the mix of fairy lights, summer air, and the soft laughter of two people who just got married that makes your heart squeeze a little. And that’s exactly what this Primrose Cottage summer wedding was: soft, intentional, and full of heart. It was a beautiful reminder that weddings don’t have to be enormous to be deeply meaningful, they just have to feel like you!
