Katie and Austin wanted their engagement photos at Carters Lake to feel personal, and this location already means a ton to them because it’s where Austin proposed. So we made the drive up to Ellijay, hung out by the lake, and took photos in all the spots that felt meaningful. The views were beautiful, but honestly, these two just made the whole thing easy and fun!

Right away, Katie and Austin were totally themselves, joking around, running with ideas, and not taking anything too seriously. We walked around the lake, stopped at a few of my favorite spots, and let the session unfold naturally. Their outfits looked great against the mountain backdrop, but more than that, they brought a really laid-back energy.
