There’s something about a First Presbyterian Church wedding that just feels timeless in the best way, and Molly & Greyson’s day in Augusta was exactly that! From the classic architecture of the church to the clean, intentional details woven throughout the day, everything felt elevated without trying too hard. It was one of those weddings where nothing felt overdone, but every single piece came together in a way that just made sense.

A Classic Church Setting That Speaks for Itself
First Presbyterian Church in Augusta is one of those venues that really doesn’t need much to feel special. The tall ceilings, dark wood tones, and that stunning aisle create such a strong foundation for a wedding day. It naturally gives you that traditional, elegant feel without needing to layer in a ton of extra decor. The florals stayed true to that vibe, soft whites with touches of greenery that complemented the space instead of competing with it. The ceremony setup felt clean, intentional, and honestly just really refreshing. If you’re someone who loves a more classic church wedding but still wants it to feel modern, this is exactly how you do it!

Thoughtful Details That Felt Personal (Without Overcomplicating Things)
One thing that stood out throughout this day was how simple details were used in a really meaningful way. The bridesmaid bouquets had ribbon wraps with each of their monograms, which was such a subtle but personal touch. It’s one of those things that you might not notice at first glance, but when you do, it adds so much personality to the day.
Even the reception carried that same energy. The soft green patterned linens paired with delicate florals and candlelight gave everything a relaxed but still polished feel. Nothing felt overly styled or forced, it just felt like them. And then… the groom’s cake. Fully designed like a football stadium. Not only was it such a fun contrast to the otherwise classic aesthetic, but it also added a layer of personality that made the whole day feel even more real and personal. That balance between timeless and fun is honestly what makes a wedding feel memorable.

Clean, Timeless Portraits Around the Church
The outside of the church was just as good as the inside, which made portraits feel easy and natural. The neutral tones of the building, those grand doors, and the surrounding courtyard gave so many options without having to go far or overthink it. Molly’s dress was super clean and structured, which photographed beautifully against the architecture, and Greyson’s classic black tux kept everything feeling cohesive. The portraits felt effortless, nothing too posed, just letting the setting and their energy do the work. This is one of those locations where you don’t need a long portrait timeline or multiple stops. Everything you need is already there, and it shows in how relaxed everything feels.

An Elegant First Presbyterian Church Wedding Reception
Going into the reception, the vibe shifted just enough to feel like a celebration without losing that refined look from earlier in the day. The candlelight, florals, and soft color palette kept things cohesive, while moments like their first dance and the energy on the dance floor brought everything to life. It didn’t feel like a huge production, it felt like people genuinely enjoying the night, which always translates so much better in photos. That balance between structure and just letting things happen naturally is what really made this part of the day stand out!
