Bride and groom kissing taken at a Joshua tree elopement

Joshua Tree is one of my favorite places in the country. The tall Yucca trees are just so beautiful, I fell in love with it the first time I was there. I absolutely love shooting a Joshua Tree elopement.

Joshua Tree is an amazing place for an elopement for so many reasons. Some of those are the trees, the colors and the rock formations. It is also one of the coolest and funkiest little towns. And the sunset is absolutely stunning. You know what they say about desert sunsets, they are truly gorgeous. The only thing that’s missing is a Camel lol

If you, like me, are also obsessed with desert bohemian then Joshua Tree is THE place for you to get married at. It is also super accessible for those that don’t want to hike miles and miles to get to a spot. If you are planning to elope here, be sure to do it during slightly cooler months. Summers here can get up to 100 ° here. Spring (Mar – May) and autumn (Sep – Nov) are the best times to come to Joshua Tree, but that also means that the Park is busier. Also be sure to book one of the adorable airbnbs here in the area for some getting ready shots as well as reception/dinner after your ceremony.

We met Chelsea and Andrew on a warm day in July and drove to this spot. The sun was about to set and the light was just stunning! Not only they are a beautiful couple but they are also small business owners and own the cutest little store in Joshua Tree. They also have an airbnb in Joshua Tree that you can also book if you wanted to stay there. But first, check out these beautiful photos of them from their Joshua Tree elopement shoot.
